Our Story

Robyn launched the business in 2016, passionate about sharing perfectly handcrafted coffee alongside irresistibly delicious homemade cakes.

The journey began with The Shepherds Hut, a charming travelling coffee shop that graced prestigious events at Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Festival, and Windsor Castle.

After just a year, an exciting expansion opportunity arose at the local garden centre, Moss End in Warfield. Following a thorough refurbishment and the creation of new menus, Robyn’s Nest Café opened its doors.

Over 7 years on, Robyn’s Nest Café has since blossomed into a thriving café and restaurant, offering indoor and outdoor seating, relaxed lounging areas, and toys for children. It's a favourite among local dog walkers, thanks to its ‘dog-friendly’ status—ensuring no one is left out.

To this day, the cakes are still homemade (and fabulous!), and the coffee is perfectly handcrafted. The menu evolves with the seasons, the weather, and new culinary discoveries, ensuring there's always something delightful to enjoy.

The Robyn inside the nest..

Hello New Friend,

Let me tell you a little about myself!

I've been in the food industry for over 12 years, and I started Robyn's Nest when I was just 19. Alongside Robyn's Nest, I run a second business, The Business Nest, a small business networking community offering support and guidance. Needless to say, I'm the dictionary definition of an entrepreneur.

Many people got to know me during lockdown, when I was out delivering afternoon teas around the Berkshire area. We baked endless cakes for the NHS, generously donated by our community, and brought smiles to many faces on some dark days.

After the challenges of Covid-19, I had the opportunity to open a second Robyn's Nest in Shinfield. Unfortunately, the location just wasn't right for us, and despite a very supportive community, we closed that shop at the end of 2023.

These days, I’m in and out of the café, sometimes working in the Shepherd's Hut during the summer, and always supporting the vibrant community of independents in the area.

The Shepherds Hut

The Shepherds Hut is still a part of Robyn's Nest.

We continue to attend events in the home counties such as craft fairs, sports events and car shows.

However, it is also often booked by corporate companies needing facilities outside in a field for example.

The Shepherds hut can serve barista coffee and hot drinks, our freshly baked cakes and blended fruit smoothies.
